APPLICATION TO OBTAIN CONSENT FROM CAC (CORPORATE AFFIARS COMMISSION) IN NIGERIA

INTRODUCTION 

It is  well known fact that CAC as digitalized the process of company registration, a welcome development from the society. Applicants are now require to obtain consent code to apply/reserve a name for registration under Incorporated Trustee and LTD/GTE.

STEPS TO TAKE TO GET THE CONSENT CODE

1. Pick a suitable name for your business or association

 

2. Check the online public search on CAC website to confirm the availability of the name 

N.B: The online search is not a comprehensive mode of search and does not guarantee acceptance of your name.

3. Make an online payment via Remita for the consent code. It cost N5,000

N.B: Keep the proof of payment 

4. Draft an application letter addressed to the Registrar General seeking for consent for your company/association registration with the following details;

a. Name of your company/ association 

b. Proposed Address of your company/association 

c. Objects of your company/association 

d. Proof of payment for the consent code (Remita Receipts)

5. Send your application and the proof of payment to this mail consent@cac.gov.ng

6. Wait for response from CAC
